No. The report is an informed probability estimate, not legal or forensic proof.
Which files are supported?
JPG, PNG and WEBP images and pasted text are supported. Video detection is coming soon.
Are uploaded images stored permanently?
Uploaded media is processed temporarily. Text input is not stored as raw text; reports store only analysis results and minimal metadata.
Which AI image generators can PhotoProof AI detect?
The forensic signals are calibrated against outputs from Midjourney, DALL-E 3, Stable Diffusion, Adobe Firefly, Flux, Imagen and other widely-used generators.
Does PhotoProof AI check for deepfakes?
Yes. Deepfake probability is one of the five signals included in every image analysis, estimating the likelihood of face manipulation or replacement.
Can metadata prove an image is real?
No. EXIF data can be removed or altered easily. Metadata is useful context but must be combined with visual and semantic signals for a reliable conclusion.
How accurate is the analysis?
Accuracy depends on image quality, compression and the generation technique used. The report provides a confidence score alongside the probability estimate so you can judge reliability.
Can I use PhotoProof AI for content moderation?
Yes, as a screening tool. Final moderation decisions should always include human review and your organization's content policy.
